about Max

I am currently working as a Principal of Design Research and Strategy at Electronic Ink, Inc. in Center City Philadelphia. As a Design Researcher I use Design theories and methodologies in a fast-paced consultancy environment to study, analyze, synthesize, and design systems, products, and services that tackle complex challenges for Fortune 1000 companies.

Max Ira Leichman Snyder graduated in 2004 with a B.S. in Mathematics from Tufts University. After working for America Online Inc. on the host infrastructure team, quality assurance testing servers and server-side applications for the Alerts and Reminders product, I returned to school to pursue my passion of uniting creativity and functionality. At Carnegie Mellon University I pursued my interests in user interfaces and products that allow people to accomplish their daily routines easily and effectively. During my time there I became interested in Service Design and how intangible and tangible systems can affect people’s experiences at work and play. I graduated in May 2007 with a Master of Design (MDes) in Interaction Design.
